Gasconade County Fair Parade

The parade will be held on
Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 5:30PM

This year's theme is:
"70 Years of Timeless Traditions"

GENERAL PARADE INFORMATION

The Gasconade County Fair Parade is held on the Thursday of fair week, rain or shine. 
The Owensville VFW Color Guard leds the parade starting at 5:30pm.
Ribbons will be given to the chosen winners before the parade starts.
Money prizes will be given out at the fair office after 7:00 p.m. on the day of the Parade.

PARADE DIVISIONS

YOUTH DIVISION
Prizes $100.00, $85.00, and $75.00 (including 4-H Clubs, Boy Scouts, or any other youth
groups under age 21). Judging of this division to be on the Danish System.

BUSINESS DIVISION
Prizes $100.00, $85.00 and $75.00 including floats and team hitches of any business firm).

NON-BUSINESS DIVISION
Prises $100.00, $85.00 and $75.00 (including church groups, organizations and VFW, etc.). All entries must be decorated floats.

CHILDREN BICYCLES, WAGONS, ETC.
Prizes $15.00, $12.00 and $10.00. Judging in this division to be done on the Danish System.

HORSE DIVISION
Ribbon for 1st place in each class:
Class 1- Adults 18 years and up.
Class 2- Children under 17 years.
Team Hitch

CLASSIC CAR / TRUCK DIVISION
Ribbon for 1st place.

ANTIQUE TRACTOR DIVISION
Ribbon for 1st place.

ANTIQUE CAR / TRUCK DIVISION
Ribbon for 1st place. (Cars & Trucks must be 30 years old or older).

PARADE RULES
For the safety of the spectators, the Gasconade County Fair Association requires candy
and/or item being distributed, be done so by walking along side the parade vehicle.
This is to prevent small children from approaching the vehicles. Handing or tossing items
to the spectators is permitted.
Distributing items from the parade vehicle is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Thank you for your cooperation.

All horses must show a negative Coggins test in order to participate.

PARADE ROUTE
North on First Street to Marvin; East on Marvin to Springfield Road; Left on Springfield
Road to Memorial Drive; Right on Memorial Drive; South at Gate to Red Oak Road; then parade to disperse.
